Using Yamaha QS 300 with Cakewalk

I have connected Midi Out of the keyboard to Midi in on my Audiobox96 with a 5 PIN Din Midi cable.  But it will not play the Virtual Instruments in Cakewalk.  Do I need a Midi driver?  Where can I download it?  Thank you, Neville

The midi driver is installed with the driver for your audio interface. Make sure to check it as an input in Preferences.

First, check the interface as an input under midi devices in preferences. Second, load a VST instrument you want to trigger as a simple instrument track. Third, on your midi track, set the output to that instrument. At that point you should be in business.
