Neville John Pearson
I have connected Midi Out of the keyboard to Midi in on my Audiobox96 with a 5 PIN Din Midi cable. But it will not play the Virtual Instruments in Cakewalk. Do I need a Midi driver? Where can I download it? Thank you, Neville
John Vere
The midi driver is installed with the driver for your audio interface. Make sure to check it as an input in Preferences. If you are just starting out you might want to watch my tutorial series to help you get going. The one about connection midi keyboards is down the playlist a bit. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7YqVth30eGt7K5L5fUIUF_UjCsdAVCbd Edited May 29, 2023 by John Vere
Ross Smithe
First, check the interface as an input under midi devices in preferences. Second, load a VST instrument you want to trigger as a simple instrument track. Third, on your midi track, set the output to that instrument. At that point you should be in business.
