“Unable to create new audio file for recording”

I’ve excluded all cakewalk files from any antivirus programs. Cakewalk, my OS, and all my drivers are up to date. I’ve recorded and saved files before without any issues but now this error keeps popping. It will still let me record once in a while but 9/10 times it shows me this error. On the off chance of it letting me record, the same error pops up when trying to playback. The day before I posted this, I had no problems with recording and nothing has changed since then. How can I fix this?

Looks like a permissions issue? 

What is the exact path to where your recording is saved to?  Does that path actually exist (maybe a drive has gone AWOL)?

Did you install Cakewalk using Administrator privilege's or do you run it in Admin mode? I
