I've heard so much good about Fabfilter, but they are always out of my price range it isn't even worth me trying.  Maybe it's only for real studio producers whom make money from music?

Don't feel bad...I don't own any either!  While they indeed are very nice plugins, I can get similar results with
"less expensive" plugins

Or for students who get 50% discount ?

I've got five of them, using money I got from selling a whole lot of other stuff to buy the mastering bundle.  To be honest, it's a pleasure using them. Never looked back.

And if you are sitting around before an EQ for four hours a day, it should be a nice looking and powerful one.

But they are soooooooooo good.
(Got the Total Bundle, I’m an FF addict)

Some observations:

1. ProQ for example can replace half a dozen other specialized tools.

2. Besides being pretty, the tools are highly effective.

3. Fabfilter are maintaining their stuff. They make a good investment, and if you don't want them any more, you can sell them.

4. Look for second hand licenses which can sometimes be bought below sale price.

5. Demo is available.

6. Many people* will not need all of them. I am happy with Q, C, MB, and L.

*Except for Fleer and Bapu.
