Paste crashes

whenever i paste, cakewalk crashes. i have lots of ram, but the progam generally runs slowly. i unistalled and re installed, no help

What are your other specs.   What plugins? What sample rate and bit depth.  Using the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab? (the latest is 2022.11 build 21)

Windows fully patched?

My PC is configured as per my signature and I have never had a crash from pasting (either MIDI data or Audio) in Cakewalk by Bandlab.

Do you get a crash dump when it happens? Or a message of any kind? What is the format of the audio you're trying to paste, e.g. wav vs. mp3? Are you bringing in the files from outside the project or copying clips within a project? Can you do the latter but not the former?

Whenever I paste, BbB operates as designed.

to be more accurate BbB does not crash, it hangs indefinitely Finally a screen appears, teling me that Cakewalk is not responding. I am trying to copy and paste AUDIO. All mouse inputs are every slow to react.
