Found this useful for DAWs that don't have a native "retrospective record" feature (like Bitwig):

https://www.monkeyc.audio

"Rewind records like a conveyor belt in memory, so you always have the latest audio/midi available. Easily record your studio, your DAW, your music on Spotify or something else you like on Youtube. When you find something you like, you can drag it into your music, vlog or video program and make magic!"

$24.99 down from $34.99. Sign up for their newsletter and get an additional 10% off.

Note: iLock registration. Two installs are allowed.

Actually the FAQ says:

macOS 10.15 Intel or Apple Silicon, Windows 10 64-bit Intel systems or newer. Supported plug-in formats: VST3, AudioUnits, and ProTools AAX. Licensing through PACE iLok, two activations per license, host computer and iLok Cloud supported, a physical dongle is not required.

Only two features

  • Capture Spotify & Youtube
  • Records internal* and external soundsources * for now only on Mac (10.15+)

Are Mac only (right now)

I prefer Bird’s Rolling Sampler. I really didn’t like the waveform display on Rewind. https://www.birdsthings.com ($19) There are trials for both so you can decide for yourself.

Trials are for Linux & Mac only.

Windows demo link is near the bottom of the web page.

Nope. Windows too. For Windows Rewind, scroll down the page for the link.  It’s in a black bar. For Rewind, you just buy for $0.
