Zachary Hadfield
Hi all, I've been having some difficulty getting the Engine from Best Service to run in Cakewalk. I set my VST scan folder to the library I'm trying to use, and also tried to navigate there through the media tab from the right side of the cakewalk dashboard. It seems like Cakewalk isn't recognizing the instrument files that end in the .ytil extension. Any tips on getting this set up? Thanks!
reginaldStjohn
I think that the instrument files would have to be loaded from the Engine and not Cakewalk. Cakewalk should find the Best Service Engine VST. Add that as a new simple instrument track and then open it's interface to open or find the instrument filess.
Promidi
The ytil file(s) are referenced in Engine itself. From the Engine GUI, under Preferences > Library, the path has to point to the folder containing the following folders: Config Documentation Image Files Layers The Engine 2.dll needs to be put in your vst2 folder (where all you other vst2 DLL files are). Zachary Hadfield
Ok, yeah. That was the problem. I reinstalled and realized that there is a standalone version and a VST version. During installation, I put the VST version in my VST folder this time and it worked. Thanks for the help!
