Jimmy Harris
Hi, New user here on a clean install of a windows 11 PC with a standard motherboard sound card I downloaded Cakewalk and opened it and it initially worked fine, but I tried experimenting with the Driver Mode to see if I could get the latency from my midi keyboard down and switched it to WDM/KS and now when I try and open CW, the wave profiler runs behind the splash screen, disappears and then so does the splash screen. As CW won't open, I can't change the audio driver to whatever it was before and I can't see where this is set in any .ini file I've tried an uninstall and reinstall and that doesn't fix it. Any pointers to look at please ? Thanks, Jimmy
reginaldStjohn
I haven't tried this but try deleting your "aud.ini" file and see if that helps. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=INI_Files.6.html
Jimmy Harris
Hi, Thanks for the reply, I should have said that I tried that and it made no difference. Also tried holding control key whilst opening and that didn't help either....... Jimmy
