John Roevekamp
I am trying to create a MIDI track and specify what MIDI channel it will send its data out on. I see that in a video on YouTube, but when I add the track, no such option appears. What am I doing wrong?
Variorum
Make sure you're showing all the track controls by selecting "All" as shown.

user 905133
Set the forced MIDI Channel using the track control widget with the little [C] on it. If you don't see it, as Variorum shows, change the Track Control / Widget Manager to "All." If you tend to do a lot of projects with MIDI, you might want to create your own Workspace with a "Custom" Track Manager configuration (or with "All") saved in the Worksapace. If you have difficulty seeing the tiny letters (like I do), you can even customize the icon images used in the track control widgets. For my MIDI Workspace, I use a customized theme with what I call "Scrabble-for-Juniors" images: dark blue letters on a deep yellow background (Track Pane Control Icons). John Roevekamp
People, people, people, you are such a blessing. THANK YOU for all your inputs, between them all I have found my way. (I was in "Basic" mode and when I switched to "Advanced" mode, the extra pathway controls appeared). Making music can be such fun, when you aren't adrift in technogical chaos... Be well.
