bjornpdx Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Where are you going my little one? This is for those kids who never had a chance for a normal childhood because of some tragic circumstance they had to live through. I tried to bring my vocal track more upfront b/c of comments on previous songs and maybe now it's too much upfront? my singing does not suck, my singing does not suck, nope nope nope 2
garybrun Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 HI Bjørn. I could relate to that.. and loved it. Great to hear your voice upfront... now just bring the instruments a little bit more upfront ? 1
Old Joad Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 very nice, I like the way the strings sneak in. I did all those things when I was a kid? 1
freddy j Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Boy Bjorn -- The past couple of songs that you have posted really tug at the heartstrings and cause one to reflect on their own circumstances. This is an absoflippinlutely beautiful song. What a treat!!! 1
PhonoBrainer Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 So glad you brought the vocals up! And now I would say, back just a hair. just a tad, a skosh. Don't bury them again - really, just a sliver. Or, just celebrate the achievement. Great idea for a tune. cheers, -Tom 1
Johnbee58 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 I enjoyed this, especially the softness in your vocal delivery. Very pretty music too. There was a song in the 60s with this title. It was a different tune entirely but when I saw the title I thought you were doing a cover. ?John B 1
Lynn Wilson Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Nice song, Bjorn! I, too, am glad to hear your voice up front in the mix. Your words really bring out the nostalgia in me. Keep em coming! 1
bjornpdx Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Wow, thanks everyone! Freddy, yeah I get a bit misty eyed sometimes about what was and what could have been. John B, I wasn't aware of the 60s song you mentioned but I just did a google search and found out the other title is Turn Around. I don't remember how that song goes, but obviously the main lyrics stuck with me. 1
