How do I get Cakewalk to run at a higher framerate?

Question

I have a 144 hz monitor and I noticed that when I right click during playback the playback cursor runs smoother. This is obviously due to an increase in framerate, but I was just wondering if I could somehow make Cakewalk run that smoothly all the time?

I am not sure how right clicking on the interface would make things seem smoother.  Are you saying the playback head seems to move smoother? Maybe by right clicking Windows is giving more priority to Cakewalk?  Have you looked through any of the optimization suggestions ?

Exactly the same here, just right clicking the track during playback, makes the whole playback run smoother. This however isn't at all limited to 144hz (I am on a 60hz monitor, and you can immediately notice the difference)
