Tony Conway
Just got a new Win11 PC and can't get cakewalk to download. I get to 'Downloading additional files ...' then it's Error reading data: (12175) A security error occured. Can anyone help me please?

ChristTheGreat
I'm having the same issue. I had another PC on windows 11, working fine, then Just upgrade to new hardware, reinstalling cakewalk, and I got this error.... Very frustrating. I followed the link, but still doesn't work. milan12345
Hi, i had the same issue what worked for me on windows 11 is that win 11 doesn't have Program Data folder in C directory, and that is the only location that cakewalk will install to. What i did to fix it is I created a "Program Data" folder in my C:// directory.
Glenn Stanton
in W11 the default is "C:\ProgramData" which is different than W10 which has "C:\Program Data" - either someone in MS oops or they found having a space in the directory name was always a bad choice and caused more issues than not...
