Максим Графов
Hello everyone, is it possible to make a MIDI performance wait until specific MIDI notes are played in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). With this feature, playback of MIDI data can be controlled by the incoming MIDI notes. For example, you can set up a MIDI instrument track in your DAW to only play when specific MIDI notes are received. You can also set up a MIDI track to start playing when a specific note is received, and stop when another note is received? msmcleod
Within Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts, it's possible to bind the commands to MIDI notes - including start/stop. However this will start/stop the whole project, not just a specific track. To trigger a specific track, you could use the Matrix view - however, the Matrix view is clip based, so you'd need to make sure that everything on that track is a single clip (i.e. bounce to clip(s) ).
Максим Графов
Thanks for the answer. I was hoping to get something like a piano booster.
