Yeah, their installer makes it so seamless that I didn't even realize it was adding it to my iLok cloud.

FYI, I find the Tube Delay excellent sounding when you automate the Delay Time and Feedback. Feels and sounds exactly like I would expect it to.

What do you use it on (e.g., guitar,  synths, strings, electric piano,  etc.)?

When doing automation on the Delay Time and Feedback, I would usually be using it as a delay throw.  Could really use it that way for any sound source.

I've never been let down by Softube.  Their plugins are top notch.  I especially love their saturation plugin.  I'm definitely going to get their spring reverb.  Out of curiosity, what other devs out there make good spring reverb plugins?

I'm pretty happy with the spring reverb in Guitar Rig and now Softube's Spring Reverb, but I have found that there are some other very good spring reverbs out there (all of which cost more than $11 USD). Specifically,  I've heard good things about Eventide Spring, AudioThing Springs and  u-he Twangstrom. Hopefully someone who owns one of these -- or another one they find worth recommending -- will chime in.

I have tried a number of free spring reverbs and didn't like most of them, but do like Lost in the 70s Devil Spring and Fuse Audio Labs' VREV-666, although the latter doesn't have any presets.

AudioThing Springs is currently on sale for $39 USD.

Eventide Spring $99 USD

I didn't even remember that they had a spring reverb. Everything I have and know of from Arturia is excellent. Great recommendation!

The demo on that landing page featuring the spring reverb on the drums -- labelled "dirty drive" -- sounds really cool!

Eventide Spring is part of their H9-series (also in the Anthology XII bundle). That series has some other great pedal-inspired plugins like the pretty amazing Blackhole (shimmer style) reverb.

Eventide H9 Plug-in Series Bundle

Get 'em all here! https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/H9Series--eventide-h9-plug-in-series-bundle

I don't have the bundle, but I picked up Blackhole on sale about 4 years ago on sale. Love that one!

Then I added Shimmerverb, Ultratap, and Tricerachorus on other sales. :)

good spring reverb plugins

the Fuse Audio Labs VREV-305 is a best of 2022 for me, great sounding, very versatile, more than "just a spring", got a bit of a plate vibe to it as well. the free one from them is decent as well.

the Aegean Spirit Reverb  has been in the tool kit for quite some time, darker, more traditional sound, very capable

i tried/have most of the others, but these two are the gotos unless i need that surfer sproing for an EG track and it's already in the sim.

As this thread has turned into a discussion on spring reverb effects, I realized that I forgot one that is, at least for now, free. I've only used it on my Wurli libraries, but it sounds very good on them. It's from a new developer that goes by the name OSC Audio and will normally sell for $1 USD. I have no idea when the free offer will end, but this spring reverb sounds pretty good on my electric piano libraries and I'd happily have paid a buck for it. Note that this effect doesn't have any presets.

I love the sound of the effects and tone of his guitar and tongue drum. It truly sounds beautiful to my ears!
