Ken Newton
Hi, I want to tweak my guitar sound to make it sound as much like a harp as possible. I can use my acoustic or my electric depending upon which would be easier. Is there a native app to help me do this? Thank you
0 Lord Tim
The most authentic way would probably be audio to MIDI conversion by dragging the guitar audio clip to a MIDI track playing a harp patch (assuming you have Melodyne installed - CbB relies on this to do the conversion). Another alternative is to pick lightly around 10th to 12th fret on an electric guitar, using the neck pickup. It'll sound more round and harp-like there. It won't be exact but it'll be closer than if you picked on a more traditional place, like between the pickups. 1
0 michheld
These would be my thoughts on it: The characteristics of an instrument are mostly about the transients. This is what happens if you => play the strings exactly in the middle between their attachments incl capo. => try to get a transient shaper (e.g. TS64) and play around with it. Have fun ?
