Mike Fardy
Has anyone experienced this issue? When I export the file the sound is perfect and all other computer sound is normal but when I play instruments or playback what I've recorded it crackles like it's going through a damaged cable. I've tried a reinstall and driver update but no change.
OutrageProductions
Try to increase your latency buffers just a bit. "Edit > Preferences > Audio - Driver Settings" Also, try freezing some VSTi's into audio. "Freeze Synth. Audio from a soft synth is bounced and placed on the synth’s track. Output from the synth is disabled, as is the FX Rack on the synth track."
reginaldStjohn
It also could be a driver issue. Check what driver mode you are using. Make sure that some other application didn't slip an unwanted driver in.
Terry Kelley
While there might be tweaks to stop the noise, odds are you are running out of processor. As said above, freeze any tracks with lots of plugins and see if it gets better. Also, check that your processor isn't overheating especially if you are using a laptop. Overheating will slow the processor down to reduce the heat. Get the app "Core Temp." Blow the dust out of the PC if you see over temp.
