Alphatrack and Cakewalk

Hi everyone,

I just connected my Alphatrack to my Win 7 laptop running the latest version of Cakewalk and am trying to access a bit more functionality aside from transport controls, mute, solo, etc. When I go to Utilities and click on the Alphatrack (which I selected under Preferences-Control Surfaces), the menu doesn't pop up and the Alphatrack appears grayed out if I click on Utilities again.  I'm stumped. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

Actually, the menu pops up if I access the Alphatrack through the ACT module on the Control Bar. Please disregard.
