Ashay Arekar
Hope it isn't a CPU hog.... I'm thinking of buying Coral.....
Larry Shelby
I bit...these are always too expensive for me so 70% off the 89 Euro intro price was too good to pass up! You get both Coral and Coral 2 also...BIG download for a VST...1881 Mb - that's almost 2 Gb for a VST. I watched some videos and it did sound very good. This is a Mastering processor like Shadow Hills, but the compressor section has multiple emulations, so that's probably part of the size of the download. I'll post back on CPU hit... Hidden Symmetry
It's inspired by the SPL Iron mastering compressor & SPL PQ mastering equalizer. Those are detector presets, they model different hardware with different attack and release curves. The attack and release times increase as you go L-R. *Also be aware AA's meters are really poor, compression happens well before any visual metering occurs. They can be several db's off so don't rely on them. Edited July 24, 2019 by Hidden Symmetry
Larry Shelby
It IS, indeed, very nice...if you don't get this, at LEAST get the FREE Bax EQ. You won't regret it!

Hidden Symmetry
BTW you can delete any sample rates you don't use to free up space. Also you can delete file in Aquarius/ Stage if you no longer want the file.
Larry Shelby
Coral IS a bit CPU intensive, but if using it for Mastering purposes it should be ok...the Bax EQ by itself isn't very CPU hoggy...and sounds GOOD! I'm sure using the Components on tracks would be fine also, but, when you load the whole package it gets a pretty hefty hit. Hidden Symmetry
When working with AA it's typical to freeze tracks, don't expect to run an entire project with them. Using CbB or Cubase I typically run 20-30 instances in real time & mix using stems. Reaper is the daw of choice among most AA users as it handles cpu better than others. Zo
When i tried it i was buggy making crackles ...is still the case ?
Hidden Symmetry
If it crackles it's your audio card not the plugin, you need to raise your audio buffers. If you're getting spikey or artifact type noises make sure you gain stage @ -18dBFS.

Piotr
Heavy cpu consumers but nice plugs. I demoed and took Navy which is giving different flavor than other Nevish variations I had. Like it But... their web pages are total mess. How many 'more' I need to click to get to the point? And if going to their 'marketplace' where all price are shown no way to read about plugins... Eh... Aquarius is also messy thing. It seems not even fully aware if plugin is already installed. And another company assuming we are idiots and as idiots we all have pro tools and Cubase or we are not able to know if we have them ... Factory defined paths to check which cannot be modified. User It is like with music. The most important thing is performance - sure - but... If tune has some cracks and pops it is annoying very much and could spoil whole impression... Like here that manufacturer is trying to do everything right to give us top quality at any element... Not just produce great sounding plugins so whatever about anything else... Especially it is easy to create good organized pages and plugin installer. I don't get it why so many manufacturers are so careless about installers or plugin managers. I stopped considering anything from McDSP after noticing it every time is thrashing my disk with that kind of mindless installation everything everywhere. Or maybe users which don't own Cubase or ProTools should have a process in background which is deleting all that created .../Steinberg/... paths and deleting AAX things.. So annoying... Probably I need to write a dead metal song about it to get rid of frustration... With chorus 'don't trash my disk, I will need it'.
