bitflipper
I pulled this up expecting advice such as "buy a $10,000 microphone and record in an acoustically-tuned room with Malaysian teak vaulted ceilings". There's some of that in the tutorial, but the techniques and reasons for using them make sense for anyone trying to capture a natural sound from an acoustic instrument, even if it's a generic acoustic guitar in the bedroom and all you have is an SM-58. Although he does make a good case for investing in a ribbon. I also learned a few things about banjos.
Glenn Stanton
of course it helps if you're a recording/mixing/producing genius like Steve...
Bapu
The only acoustic instrument I ever record here is drums (and vocal if you want to my vocal an instrument). Soon I am going to be recording my bass rig, which I've never done here.

RBH
Best demonstration of BS free recording techniques I've seen in a long time. The final composition is brilliant.
