Switching on/off FX in track - Midi Controller

Hi guys,

Hope somebody can help me with this: I have recently bought an AKAI Professional MPK Mini MK3 and I am wondering if there is a way to map one PAD (or anything else) to a particular FX to turn in on/off just pushing the "button".

Just to give you a little bit of background on my question: I play guitar and on the same track i have different FX (ie Clean FX, Distortion FX, etc.) and I would like to turn one off/on while i am playing without stopping and clicking on the On/Off, is it possible?

Should be possible - depending on the plugin.

Does the particular FX have a wet/dry control in the plugin.

Maybe enable the plugin’s MIDI in, then create a MIDI track with the Mini MK3 set as its input.  Enable its local echo.  Then route that track to the particular FX.

Then hopefully the particular FX has a MIDI learn function.

Enable the particular FX's MIDI learn function.  Press the button on the Mini MK3 you want t assign.  That should create the mapping.

Another way is to create an automation lane for the particular FX's wet/dry control, then enable Remote Control for that lane.
