144 zh display

I have a 144 hz monitor, the system works at 144 but cakewalk still works at 60 hz! how to make it 144 ? if I click while playing kudato past the program and the window becomes inactive, I see how cakewalk in the background starts working at 144, but when switching to it again resets the frequency to 60... What to do?
