David Coventry Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 (edited) Hello So I have two computers. Laptop and desk top. I have the same VSTs on both computers. When I open a project on one computer that was recorded (or just mixed a little) on the other computer, sometimes the VSTs are considered MISSING (see image) and aren't loaded into the session. Does anyone have an answer to why this might happen and what I might do about it? Thanks very much. D Edited August 26, 2022 by David Coventry Adding pic
Xel Ohh Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 The only time I have seen that happen is when one session has a VST2 and the other has a vst3 loaded... You try to check that and see if that resolves the issue. 1
Kurre Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 As Xel Ohh says it probably is about different paths to the vst. So check the paths for the vst2 also. 2
David Coventry Posted August 26, 2022 Author Posted August 26, 2022 Thanks Xel, I'll have a look into that.

Some of the errors I can fix by re-adding the VST2 version (where the plugin was replaced by VST3) back in the VST scan path, or by digging up and installing the 32bit version.
