Green Needle
Tried reinstalling cakewalk, still no fx chains will load.
charles kasler
That happened to me a while back, although I think it was the original FX chains that I created in sonar. I had to just delete them and recreate them in CBB and they work now.
Xoo
Is the folder/drive they're in compressed (NTFS compression) by any chance? That can unexpectedly affect some things in Cakewalk loading.
Green Needle
Thanks for the ideas. I had to abandon that os drive so i could go back to work. I put in a clone OS i had from a few months ago and it works fine. (pays to back up!!). I will check it later. It worked fine for ever then all of a sudden stopped. So weird. Han Uil
Just mentioning that I have the same problem of not being able to import fx chain presets all of a sudden. No error when importing; just nothing happens. I'm running Windows 11 and I suspect that a Windows update might be the cause. I will try and remove the latest August/September updates later on this week... Edited September 19, 2022 by Han Uil
Han Uil
For me, the problem was solved by removing all the Microsoft Visual C++ runtimes and installing the latest x64 & x86 supported Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable downloads.
