Unwanted inputs

I'm getting input from all my previously recorded tracks, when I arm an empty track for recording, How do I turn that off? Any help is much appreciated.

It would be much easier to help you if you actually told us what and how with details. I don’t even know if this is midi or audio tracks so can’t even begin to guess. Audio interface? Are you using Cakewalk or ProTools?
