Scott MacBride
I have this one project where a track doesn't show any waveform. It plays and sounds just fine. Any ideas on why this happened on this track (one named Slide) ?
Mike Z
My guess is that you've recorded overtop the clip and your waveform is underneath the top layer. try grabbing and moving the clip to another track to see what's underneath.
Scott MacBride
I moved it and nothing underneath... I even made the single track as big as my entire monitor and no hint of any waveform. Edited August 13, 2022 by Scott MacBride spelling
Lord Tim
Pictures corrupt sometimes. Try right-clicking the waveform and choosing Associated Audio Files, then press the Recompute Pictures button. Failing that, it's safe to close Cakewalk and then delete everything inside the Picture Cache folder (typically that's at C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache ). When you open your project next, it'll just recreate all of the waveform pictures again and should solve the issue. Scott MacBride
Thank you! The recompute pictures solved the problem. Great forum by the way!
