My Instrument Is Popping Unintentionally

I am using the vital vst and I made this instrument that sounds really nice imo, although it makes this awful crackling/popping noise at the start of some notes and I can't seem to figure out why. Does anyone know what combination of effects/attributes causes a sound to pop or crackle at the beginning of notes? I have attatched a short example. (new to music production so pls bear with me if this is an obvious answer)

I'm not hearing the pop/crackles normally associated with low buffer sizes, but I am hearing a "click" at the start of some notes.

I used to get this with the Cobalt VSTi when the VCA attack rate was set to zero.  Try giving it a fast, but non-zero attack rate.  You may want to do the same with the release.
