I have to activate cakewalk, but I keep getting the notification that y username and password are wrong. Cannot do anything with my existing songs now. please help.

What you need to do is send an email to support@cakewalk.com to get your password reset.

And just for general info. If all else fails you can simply create a new account using a different email. 
Cakewalk is free.  The Project files are not part of the software install so will still be fine.
