how do I install Cakewalk onto a custom directory?

I want to install Cakewalk, but my main hard drive is very low on space and can't install Cakewalk because of that. Is there a way to change the directory Cakewalk installs in?

Why not do the sensible thing and move all the space hogging files to another drive?

Create a folder in the other drive.

Then use this command in Command Prompt:

mklink /j "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk" "<Created folder location for example: D:\Cakewalk>"

Then install the Cakewalk.

The install will load into the created folder in the other drive.

If there is already a folder named Cakewalk in Program Files directory you can move the Cakewalk folder to the other drive then use the same command. Cakewalk will load from the other drive.

All I can say is if a computer has a C drive that is above 60 % you need to get a bigger drive or do some clean up. Otherwise it will have issues .
