Theme Preview Doesn't Match UI

The preview in Preferences > Customization > Themes doesn't match what the theme actually does to the UI (Please see screenshot). I'm trying to find a theme with more contrast between the Control panel buttons and their text/icon labels. Any suggestions?

I think the problem is that you haven't got a project loaded. All controls in the Control Bar are disabled until a project is created or loaded, but they will light up once you've done that. How much is of course depending on the theme.

Have you tried any of mine? They're designed by/for someone who don't see as good as he usedta.

I'm not sure. I did download a couple light themes, but I don't remember their names.

Give 'em a shot. One of the things I do is make the button images larger where I can. A large number of the stock themes' buttons don't use the full image. They leave background and transparency around the edges.
