I have mixed feelings about this. Strongest about negative is to pay for a number of plug-in fixes… that’s definitely not right. I love quite a few of my waves plug-ins, but, time to replace them with stuff I always own and or similar things that update without wup.

Best comment so far on KVR:

"So not an informative post then, just more Waves bashing from the same idiotic members. Hey ho".

:)

I wonder what $29 plugin was slipped to that person for that comment.

I have yet to divorce myself from Waves plugins.  I do like CR8 which I have 3 licenses.  Good thing they are an outstanding developer.

I just updated my Cosmos and CR8 to v14 for free, as they were still covered by the free year 1 WUP. :)

I thought they would be upgraded automatically in Waves Central but I had to go to the website.

I can't wait to see which of my DAWs gets confused with the plugin scan.

That would be too easy for Waves! They want you to check out the WUP "sale" first, LOL!!!

Then you have to go looking for the free upgrades among your stuff... :)

With new versions be so close I assume that demand for waves plugins reach saturation point so they try to extract as much money as they can  with WUP.

Is it possible to use v13 and v14 plugins at the same time?

I have some stuff expired, and some are eligible to upgrade to v14 for free.

Honestly, I think that WUP makes a bit of sense, but should be very cheap... What about $29?

But bugfixes should be free. and  V13 was less than a year ago (october last year).

$9 or naught
