Ricardo Simas
Hi, I've recently done the switch to Cakewalk by BandLab and have been struggling with one bit of the MCU Pro integration. For some reason the master fader defaults to controlling the sound card output, instead of the master volume. I can add the remote control to the master volume, but never actually remove it from the sound card, which means it's useless in practice. Is there a way of changing this? It's not a state I ever encountered on Sonar.
John
Yes. If you have setup your MCU all you need do is goto the ACT module and click on Controller Surface Properties. There select in the Master Fader section Master and next to it select 1. From there after it will use the master fader on the MCU to control the first bus in Cakewalk. I always place my Master bus as the first bus.
msmcleod
I think John meant to say "There select in the Master Fader section Bus and next to it select 1.": Otherwise, it'll control the left volume of your soundcard. John
Actually, it shows up as master on mine because that is what I have named it. On yours it says Bus because I'll bet you didn't name it yet. ? LOL
