set compound meter to relect simple meter click

How do I set the 12/8 meter to reflect only four clicks rather than 12 to a measure?

Try the metronome settings or what I would do is draw it in the step sequencer and drag it out for the whole song

You can't. 

You have to manually create your own.

Time for a feature request perhaps.
