John Roynon
I have a query. I have recently removed a Novation ReMOTE ZeRO control surface which I no longer use. I have also uninstalled Automap and all related software. Now, whenever I start Cakewalk, I get a message saying "A controller/surface dll is not installed". I can close the window and continue working normally but I dont know how to get rid of this message. It obviously relates to the controller I have removed. There are no controllers are showing in preferences under Devices or Control Surfaces. Does anyone know how I get rid of this error message??? msmcleod
Your could try deleting ctrlsurface.dat from %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\ while Cakewalk isn't running, and restart Cakewalk.
John Roynon
Mark I think this was probably the issue. I have installed a new controller which has probably updated that file and problem has gone away
