Chris Goumas
When I record a midi track, my controller is set to a specific MIDI channel and it's like that channel gets embedded into the track. I want to be able to have a different synth play the track, which is on a different output of my interface (MOTU MIDI Express 128) and on a different channel, but the track will only trigger synths on that same channel. In the past I could just copy the midi track and change the channel and it worked, essentially letting me layer other synth sounds playing the same thing. What am I missing? Byron Dickens
This is amply covered in the documentation.

David Baay
MIDI events themselves have an embedded MIDI channel as they are sent from your controller. CbB can re-write that channel on playback by specifying a forced output channel with the widget labeled C n the track header (Set the Track Control Manager to show all widgets) or in the Track Inspector, near the Bank and Patch widgets
