0 John Vere
By definition a Master bus is an Audio bus that is the last in the signal path before it goes to your monitoring system as well as usually the source for exported audio files. . Midi tracks on there own do not make sound, so a MIdi master bus would be silent. Midi needs to be sent to an instrument track or outboard hardware. If you have a bunch of midi instruments in a project ( audio source) you can create sub buses that the intruments output is assigned to. So the real question is what are you trying to achieve? 0 bvideo
MIDI output to an external synth goes to a "port" on your MIDI interface. You can route multiple midi tracks to a single port using the widgets on each track. For softsynths, each softsynth behaves like a port and you can send multiple midi tracks to it. In another sense, there is no such thing as any kind of bus for MIDI, namely a position in the track view or a channel in the mixer view that can aggregate MIDI data the way an audio bus does for audio data. 0 57Gregy
If you are looking for a way to control the volumes of your MIDI tracks with 1 control, you can route your soft synth outputs to a single bus, or, if you use your keyboard's sounds, use the keyboard's volume knob. The latter is what I do.
