Lance Mezhibovsky
Hey mates, I’m having some trouble figuring out how to get optimal sync and connectivity from my Maschine MK2 , Focusrite 2i4 & Ableton. I have Maschine plugged into my computer via usb as well as the focusrite. Maschine’s virtual out has sync enabled in Ableton and to my ears this was syncing everything up fine. I have since learned about these MIDI in out cables (like the Roland UM-1) for lower latency. I also noticed Focusrite’s internal clock that can as well be synced in Ableton preferences. My question is this: should I be using midi in/out cables opposed to a regular midi cable going into my comp? (midi out from focusrite to midi in to MK2) Lastly, should I be enabling the focusrite midi output sync as well as the maschine virtual out or will this cause problems? there is also the ‘track’ and ‘remote’ parameters, but i believe I should enable these when sending/receiving midi. Thanks in advance!
jesse g
Lance, I didn't hear anything about Cakewalk by Bandlab in your question, so how can we help you with your Cakewalk DAW and the Maschine MK2 MIDI Clock sync configuration?
