How to add MPKMini as Control Surface

In preferences/Control Surface in Cakewalk is there a way to add the MPKMini that will allow me to record a track while playing the Mini?

I don't think you'd want to add the MPKMini as a control surface.  Control surfaces are primarily designed for controlling transport.

Just enable its MIDI input within Preferences->MIDI->Devices.

Yep, after plugging mine in to the usb port, cakewalk makes it available as a midi track input option immediately.
