Unintended deletion

Hi folks,

I am facing the following problem. I recorded a new track in an existing project. When I deleted a few bars in this track, the corresponding bars in the above track also gets deleted. I am very sure I did not select the above track before deletion, I am not sure why this is happening. Hope someone can help, thanks.

Do you have Ripple Edit enabled?

Can be toggled via a button in the upper-right corner of the track view window. Button changes color when ripple edit is enabled.

Yes it's the ripple edit feature, I have disabled it now. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction, much appreciated.
