Bapu
SketchCassette II - Aberrant DSP Inspired by 4-track cassette recorders, SketchCassette II is designed to introduce a wide array of lo-fi effects into your mixes. From subtle warble to unearthed-from-the-attic destruction, SketchCassette II unlocks the full range of cheap tape sounds, while also offering the flexibility and control to push your sounds even further into total lofi weirdness. 1 1
Bapu
Probably other plugs do the same but I found the GUI fun in addition to what it did for a specific bass track.

kevin H
I have the bundle, they are fun plugins. For BF they were $25 for the bundle which includes both plugins. They go on sale from time to time. https://aberrantdsp.com/plugins/sketchcassette-ii-shapeshifter/
paulo
Presonus could do a lot worse than hiring whoever designed that UI to do the next version of Studio One.
Max Arwood
I was just watching a video by Marc Daniel Nelson. He was using that and the real thing. I thought about it but decided not to buy it. What do you guys like about it?

Carl Ewing
Love the sound of this plugin. I flip back and forth between this and WaveFactory Cassette depending on the material. I think Cassette has more realistic artifacts / stability features though - customized from back panel... ...but I find SketchCassette better for lofi-ing stuff in a way that's more artificial, but still modern / cool sounding. So SketchCassette better for sound design, Cassette better for realistic tape degradation. In my opinion anyway. There's also Audiothing's 'Reels', which has it's own advantages. Why not own them all lol. Edited May 10, 2022 by Carl Ewing
