Steambyrd
Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 on Windows XP has worked just fine for me for nearly 20 years. Suddenly, some new midi files I upload to Cakewalk from a thumb drive and midi files I pull from my Windows 7 system have no volume. What have I accidentally changed in settings to cause this issue? Jeremy Oakes
You’re using imported midi file - check in the Event Viewer (if Home Studio 2002 - no comment - even has one) to make sure no wheel events occur before the notes. If there are, erase them. If it doesn’t, you’ll have to find another way to erase them. This has got me a few times in the past - midi bass files inEZ Bass. 57Gregy
I would first check each MIDI track's outputs and channels/patches, etc. to see if they go to the right place. i.e. your MIDI device and/or soft synths and that the audio is set up correctly for the soft synth outputs.
