jude77 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 When I first heard of digital I dreamed of the day I could afford it and leave the tape forever behind. Now here it is available to me for $79. Or $99 if I want even more. 1 3
SmokeyJ628 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 (edited) You can get the collection in the Custom Shop for 100 credits. Jam points also appear to work if you'd rather use those to get up to 30% off. Edited June 11, 2019 by SmokeyJ628

Hidden Symmetry Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I haven't logged onto IK in over a year & can pick this up for $30.00. How does this compare to all the others out there?
Peter - IK Multimedia Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 (edited) Never mind, didn't see it was already posted. Another d'oh! Edited June 11, 2019 by Peter - IK Multimedia 2 1

I removed all my IK products about a year ago, not fond of Custom Shop business model. I already have several tapes emus, if these were extraordinary I might demo, purchase & redeem them.
chris.r Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I expect these to sound good. Looking forward to read some opinions before I manage to demo them myself.

Hidden Symmetry Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 (edited) Pros: I've used each of the 4 models on 2 bus/ mixes only. Each has something to offer w/ different characteristics (punchy, warm, smooth ) they sound excellent & include a handy set of features. ( minus wow+flutter) Cons: -1.5 GB installer + Custom Shop -High cpu, 384 kHz internal sampling (I'd like to see an oversampling option for tracking/ mixing included. CbB has the up-sample feature on render so no problem there) -Gui is difficult to work with/ read, needs refinement. Overall a fine product: features, sound quality. At $99.00 good value. Will be testing them against the others I have & on more material, instruments, tracks & buses. Edited June 12, 2019 by Hidden Symmetry correction 4
