Cakewalk Upgrade and VST's

Hi, I'm using version 2022.02. I downloaded the newest version. It is asking about where to store the VST's. I'm nervous about losing what I have from 3rd parties. 

Does it go thru and check/load again, whatever it sees?

You can specify as many VST paths as you wish in Preferences and rescan if required to pick them up

Plug ins are normally shared by all applications that support them. Applications don’t erase stuff during installing . 

That is why they are normally stored in specific folders like Stienberg and VST folders. Cakewalk creates its own folders for its stuff. 
As said after you install Cakewalk you add those folders to the plug in pathways in Preferences or the plug in manager.
