Weird!!

So, I'm changing the name of a track "Addictive Drums" to "Fills". When I hit enter for the name change, there suddenly appears a previously unrecorded cowbell that also doesn't appear in piano roll. Only way to get rid of it is quit and not save. And I definitely didn't say "MORE COWBELL!" or even "any cowbell". Any explanation?

Just curious,  Did you check the "Events" list once this condition occurs . .  .   Just wondering if it shows up there.

My guess is that Addictive Drums is live-playing a groove along with your track - check to see if the play icon isn't active, up near the logo at the top of the window.

Is the "name of a track" the track name all the way on the left in the Track Pane, or a clip in the track? If it's a clip, you might be inadvertently clicking in something.
