Fred Cooper
I imported an audio wav track and it plays back just fine. I inserted an audio track to record. When I play it back , it runs double time, sort of like an old phonograph record playing at double-speed. How do I fix this?
reginaldStjohn
What audio device are you using? What sample rate, driver mode etc. are you using? This sounds like your sound card is set to one sample rate and the Cakewalk project is set to a different rate. Please see the tutorial section for some basic setup and instruction. Fred Cooper
Thanks for the info. I listened to the tutorial and made a couple of adjustments. The main thing I did was go from a 16 to 24 bit depth (though I'm not very technical and don't know what this really means. I just did it.) It now plays at the correct speed, but it has a fuzzy sound, sort of like the old Bugs Bunny's "What's up doc" sound. I suppose that means something else is off. Any other ideas? Oh, yes, when I use my old Sonar version from several years ago, I don't have this problem.
