mastercore
Hey Guys. Im new to creating music over my computer. I got an Oxygen49 MK2 keyboard and have managed to connect it only partially to CW on my laptop (win surface 64bit with WIN10) I believe I have the correct driver installed. I got the keys of the keyboard up and running in CW somewhat. My mapping of the keys is 1 key offset! None of the other controls except the pitch bender work on the keyboard. Can anyone help me get the rest of this up and running? many thanks in advance for help Edited March 20, 2022 by mastercore
mastercore
I have been playing around and got some more of the controls from the midi keyboard, but one problem persists. All keys (piano) are offset by 1 key e.g. when I hit C I get C# I can see this on the virtual keyboard. Is there a way to correct this somewhere in cakewalk? Gewa
Looks like problem with your controller. There should be button to set transpose up/down on your controller, you must have pressed something that did that. Definately not a cakewalk issue.
mastercore
That make sense to me. I will search the manual for the keyboard to track this down. thx
mastercore
I have managed to get much more function out of my midi controller now, but some of the knobs and sliders are a mystery. What I would like to find is the mapping documentation so I can see the assignments. I get the feeling that the mapping of the controllers is dependent on what functions of CW are active. Could this be? Dunno if such thing exists.
mastercore
Just for reference, my setup is: Windows Surface laptop (an early model), Win10, 64bit Oxygen49 mk2 (I believe) Focusright 6USB audio interface. Interface outputs to a RC-505mk2 loop station various other instruments connected to the loop station I've included a pic for context

The keyboard is always easy to get working, but the controls is a different matter. The controls work similar to a control surface. You will have to check out the Cakewalk documentation on control surfaces and ACT. I have an M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 controller and, after quite a bit of learning, trial and error, I was able to make it work to my satisfaction. I would suggest you read through this thread. I am sure it has some answers for your particular model even if the thread is for the pro model. Also, this guy has done work for the M-Audio Oxygen 49/69 Mk3 https://www.azslow.com/index.php/topic,247.0.html Good luck!
