cclarry Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I'm looking at Ryzen 9's right now...my FX-8300 is over 5 years old now... time for a new build. 1
LittleStudios Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I have a Ryzen 9 5900x... It's pretty sweet! Not sure what they're going for now, but I was able to get mine below MSRP from B&H Photo.

The solution to that which I find very hard to do is to stop buying DAW software. I would hold off since hardware is too expensive for me. 1

They rarely die. I've got a closet full of PC parts. Poorly optimized software is what makes them seem outdated. I still have a FX6300. I'm not one of those I need 200 track project guys and try to put mastering plugins on every track. (of course I never get that far) 2

(of course I never get that far) I'm not either...but it is time to upgrade, mostly because I'll pass this computer on to my 8 year old niece to use for school. She's in Home Schooling, and using an old laptop right now...
