Larry Shelby
Introducing the VLA-2A Mark II It's the same beautiful compressor as the original VLA-2A, but with new features that catapult this unit into the 21st century! It captures the beauty of opto-electronics by adding warm, breathy compression and tube saturation to your tracks, for that unmistakable vintage flair. MusicMan
Nice seeing this one. I already liked the original one, but just on some quick tests, this thing is pretty nice and great to see it's free for existing users.. looking forward to taking it for a bit more of a spin ? jackson white
interesting. found the original version to already be a bit more saturated than standard LA-2As (could just be a gain structure artifact). their LA-3A is also a good one.

The BRA version was still good though. I might end up getting it just so I can move that one away from Waves.
jackson white
Anything with onerous overhead is blacklisted here (i.e. Waves/IK/UAD) but Overloud might be the one to beat. I found this to be interesting. The GEMs I have of theirs are quite useful. Edited March 16, 2022 by jackson white 1
