The Korean company KIA created an inspiring instrument, with sounds of nature and with different waveforms and filters that inspire movement and creation. A unique analog synthesizer was built for KIA.

AudioFB is in this project and developed the virtual instrument, with the same concept, with the same parameters and the same sound.

move.ment is an awesome synth with :

- 8 high quality samples.
- 4 waveforms.
- Resonance filter.
- Envelope (ADSR) dedicated to the filter.
- General (ADSR) envelope.
- Fine tuning control.
- Bandwidth for sawtooth and square waves.
- Tone and Output.
- 100 presets.

And now this instrument is available to everyone for free!!!

Ok testing it .... no so great , monophonic , very few controll ....frustrating at best

Shucks. Well, let's hope that some other car manufacturing company rises to the challenge. Perhaps Elon Musk is interested in branching out again?

Seriously though, I find it bizarre that Kia would produce a software synth.

Who knows what the deal was here.

Perhpas an employee made it and Kia clamied the IP if it was developed on a company machine or partially during company hours.  Lots of companies basically make you sign an agreement that says anything you develop is "ours"

Just one of the first things I thought about when I saw the announcement, no idea if that is the situation here.

I'm waiting for Spitfire Audio to produce their first vehicle!. A three wheeler "on the edge of falling over", built at Air studios. Paul will be "vey excited" as he drives off to the supermarket.

(if you know Spitfire, you'll get the references)

Kia move.ment: Virtual Instrument scientifically designed to inspire you

Thanks for that. Quote from the article:

It’s likely that Kia embarked on this journey through a desire to come up with original sounds for an in-car OS and various dashboard functions and the fact that it resulted in a playable instrument we can all enjoy is pretty cool.

Probably speculation on the part of the writer, but it would make sense that they first created something they needed and then realized it wouldn't require much effort to turn it into something that would give them some positive publicity.

OK, after having tested it, gotta agree with Zo! :)

This sounds like a very cool idea, but have no idea how they produced all this slick KIA media with it. This product seems to be a bare bones beta, IMHO.

Or Bioscape by Luftrum! Definitely not free! A Kontakt Player compatible library. Includes a folder of *ASMR ( Autonomous sensory meridian response) presets. :)

https://www.luftrum.com/bioscape/

*ASMR - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASMR

But Luftrum does also offer a large 22GB fully licensed library of environmental field recordings samples, for a minimum $5 donation to World Wildlife Fund,  for use in any DAW or sampler.
