But to me it seems like besides mastering, cakewalk does everything that studio one does,

and actually been doing so for quite a while..I was watching a tutorial on the studio one

multiband compressor, and the guy said that studio one is the only Daw that includes a

multiband compressor, what am I missing? Sorry if this is in the wrong section!

Platinum and now Cakewalk are going to be underestimated. The funny thing is Platinum had a multiband compressor before there was a Studio One.  ?

A person can master well in Cakewalk  too. The main advantage to SO is the way it can line all of the tracks up for an album hard copy . It makes the process for an album  easier.

I prefer CbB to master individual tracks and would not hesitate to send a master from CbB to any website that hosts music. So long as artists use CDs  to make additional income at gigs they will probably still be around in lesser quantities. I think the MAIN place for music now  is the web. As such, The lines between the two aren't as rigid when it comes to mastering.  Last time I checked there were mastering presets in the PC unless they were removed with an update.
