Douglas Kirby Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Nicely done Markku - I liked the laid back groove of this track. 1
Kevin Walsh Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I really enjoyed the tones you're getting out of that strat. Interesting bass line too. I'd consider pulling the bass levels down just a bit. Shifting to a very subjective, my-opinion-only kind of vibe, I noticed that you've panned drums right and bass left, which is something that was done a lot in the past, but not so much anymore. You might consider centering bass and drums and panning the guitars a bit to create space. Very nice piece overall. Kevin 1
Larry T. Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 well done Makke....i think you created a new genre called "jazz surf"!!!!....the jazz chords arrangement is great and the lead lines you play compliment them to create a unified piece of music that is very enjoyable to listen to ???? 1
David Sprouse Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 This shows a lot of invention! Gentle on the ears, where one doesn't have much thinking involved.. Me favorite. (not black sabbath!) 1
mark skinner Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Good surf , jazz music for sure. I felt like I was looking across Half Moon bay. Great playing. mark 1

antler Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 I love the pitch bends that you use to accent your tunes. Very cool piece: kind of jazzy with the occasional complex chords thrown in that blend seamlessly. Could work as a private-eye themed soundtrack too - well done! 1
bjornpdx Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 This is one of those songs that stick with you for a while, mainly because of the catchy melodic bits. Really liking the phrase around 1:35 - in fact I can't get it out of my head. Probably gonna have to steal it from you Makke. ? -Bjorn 1
